Convergence Rides

Arrive in style by taking part in one of the convergence rides! See below for a map.

The rides to BikeFest leave at 11am from 4 different parts of town and aim to get to the park in good time for the official opening of the BikeFest. The rides are led by experienced cyclists. The on-road sections should be quiet on a Sunday morning.

Cyclists can join the rides at any point along the routes.

RIDE 1 - 11am from Safeways car park at Davidson’s Mains
A leisurely ride along NCN route 1 from behind the car park. Travelling by cycle-friendly route through the city centre, joining ride 2 at the Mound and going on to the Meadows.

RIDE 2 - 11am from the Scottish Executive at Leith
From in front of the main entrance at the Scottish Executive, Victoria Quay, following NCN route 75 and joining with ride 1 at the Mound.

RIDE 3 - 11am from the Big W car park, Milton Link
Almost all off road along the Innocent Railway path through the tunnel to the Meadows.

RIDE 4 - 11am from Spylaw Park, Colinton
The easiest of the four routes along the Water of Leith path, joining the canal towpath at Slateford with a very short on-road section at the Meadows.
